Courtenay HR goes into Therapy...

Courtenay HR, the leading HR Executive Search and Selection business has turned to therapy as part of and alternative benefits and development strategy. In order to help develop employee well being and to offer more innovative and flexible benefits, Courtenay have introduced a complementary bi monthly treatment program individually tailored for each employee and their specific needs.

They can choose from a range of therapies to suit from Aromatherapy and Remedial massage for muscular problems, Reflexology for immune boosting and Reiki for holistic balancing.

Commenting on the new range of benefits, Gareth Jones Managing Director said “We introduced the new approach late last summer, initially on a trial basis and it has gone down very well. It has proved to be very popular and we believe we are seeing the effects in the attitude and health of the team. Sarah Shears our therapist spends a day in the office every fortnight which means everyone is guaranteed at least one, hour long session per month, with the opportunity for more if time allows.”

Speaking about the service, therapist Sarah said “These therapies can have a significant beneficial impact on stress and other disorders such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), insomnia, headaches, muscular aches and pains, fatigue and depression which are all conditions associated with stress. Courtenay are the first organisation I have heard of to be offering this service and by doing so they are raising health awareness amongst the team and bringing the whole issue of wellness programs into focus. It seems to have done wonders for the team as I have seen them develop over the last 6 months and it confirms their position as a forward thinking company”

One of those on the receiving end of the new approach, Laura Liversidge commented “Its been a real boost having this facility in house and for free. It’s a great benefit and one that we would all really miss if it was stopped. Sarah has not only worked wonders on me, she has also become part of the team.”
